Museo de Pontevedra

Guided tour lasting approximately one hour. No registration is required. The meeting point is at the reception desk of the Castelao Building.

It consists of a brief introduction to the history of the Museum of Pontevedra and the buildings that will be visited. This is followed by a tour focusing mainly on Galician art, paying special attention to some of the most significant pieces in the collection: the Treasure of Caldas de Reis and the archaeological pieces; the Belvís altarpiece and the sacred art; the Xeración Doente (a group of Galician painters), particularly Jenaro Carrero and Ovidio Murguía; Sotomayor, Lloréns and regionalist painting; and the work and figure of Castelao.
